We're collecting recommendations across the Kansas City metro right now — from Lawrence to Oak Grove and St. Joseph to Harrisonville. No more scrolling through old Facebook posts looking for a good plumber, roofer, or lawn crew.

It only works if neighbors share. If you've hired someone you'd recommend, start here.

NeighborList is currently collecting recommendations.

The public directory and companion app are being built from reviewed neighbor submissions. For now, this site is for sharing providers you've personally used so the directory can launch with trustworthy local data.

This is a neighbor project, not an ad platform.

  • Businesses cannot pay to become recommended.
  • Business-owner submissions do not count as recommendations.
  • Your name and contact info are never shown publicly without your permission.
  • Every submission is reviewed before it's used.
  • Neighbor recommendations determine provider visibility and counts. Presentation sponsorship does not affect rankings, recommendation counts, or directory placement.

NeighborList is a simple, neighbor-sourced list of trusted local service providers (plumbers, HVAC, roofers, handymen, lawn care, and more). We're collecting recommendations across the Kansas City metro right now — from Lawrence to Oak Grove, St. Joseph to Harrisonville.

How this works

  1. 1Neighbors submit providers they have personally used.
  2. 2An admin reviews each submission and removes duplicates.
  3. 3Providers with multiple independent recommendations may become eligible for the directory.
  4. 4Business owners can later claim or enhance already-recommended profiles, but they cannot buy recommendation status.
Privacy: Your name will not be shown publicly unless you explicitly give permission. Recommendation counts are shown only in aggregate, not as individual endorsements. Read the privacy notice.
